Hmm, a year since I posted anything. Inspired by a recent trip to Ireland, I have composed 2 new songs and put one of them (Echoes from the Lough) into a video format. had a great week in the south around Limerick, went north to Belfast and then home via Dublin. Ireland is a great place with wonderful people.
Musings
Just pondering musical influences and heritage; from learning the piano at an early age to playing trumpet in a Brass band in Belfast, to my first Bush Band at Uni in West Aussie (The Bonza Creek Bush Band) and now on a few decades to new frontiers. Almost forgot about a recent St Patrick’s Day gig, that went well despite challenges with live audio in an unforgiving pub environment.
As for playing and songwriting influences, these range form acoustic to Celtic punk and include the Dubliners, Pogues, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphy’s for Irish and the Bushwhackers, The Rumjacks and sundry others for Aussie material.
Question
Is anyone able to view the sound and video clips under that menu? Please LMK!
Thanks and HNY to all ๐
